Shrink Wrap

Shrink bands and shrink wrap are the final touch to your products that tell people that you are a professional. They show that you are concerned that the product they buy, that it is as fresh as when you made it.

Shrink bands not only protect your customer, but they also help to keep your product in a sellable condition. They are a instant indication to whether a container has been opened or not.

A heat gun is all you need to shrink these bands around your jars.

Heat Guns
	Use a heat gun to quickly shrink your bands or bags to size. Our Variable Temp Heat Gun has a range of 250 degrees F to 1100 degrees F. This wide range is perfect for all applications form shrinking the wrap on baskets to tiny bands on bottles and jars. 602-9711 Variable Heat Gun $54.65

Impulse Sealers

Recipes

An impulse sealer is used to close the open edge of a bag before heat shrinking the bag. This simple process has just a few steps; (1) place item in bag, (2) use sealer to make a new seam so contents are completely encased, (3) use heat gun to shrink bag. Cutters are recommended when trying to size a bag which is too large for the item or when using bag tubing. Most folks do not need a cutter, yet those with cutters are more versatile. Impulse sealers are also called heat sealers. The teflon strips on the sealers will wear with repeated use. Keep the tape clean and free from melted plastic and it will last longer. When you do need to replace them get the maintenance kit. Maintenance kits include: teflon strips and replacement heating wires (both round and flat). Bar Soap Shrink Bands

These shrink bands leave then ends of the soap exposed yet cover the large portion of the bar. They are often applied over a cigar band type label. They will fit a soap 2" X 3" X 1". See this bar soap representation [pdf] to determine how we view a shrink band fitting. Dan's soaps are a bit larger than our standardized size. They are a tad bit longer and a tad bit deeper because our regular bar soap shrink bands will not fit! Well, we have come up with a solution. Dan now has his own bands. If your soaps are a bit bigger and you need a larger band, try Dan's. He won't mind sharing with you at all. Dan's Bands will fit soaps up to 2.5" X 3.25" x1.25". Bath Salt Tube Shrink Band

This band will fit our bath salt tubes. We have been asked many times before about offering a shrink band for this tube. The band will go over the entire tube, from top to bottom. This should make it obvious to your customers that opening should only be done after purchase. A perforation on the side allows for easy removal when the time is right. Shrink Bags
Recipes	These shrink bags give you a way to give an elegant fit to soaps with a molded shape. Simply place your soap into the bag and heat seal the edge closed with an impulse sealer. Shrink Film on Rolls

Bulk rolls of shrink film come in two widths, 10 or 16 inches wide. The film comes center folded. This means that the 10" wide film will unfold to 20" and the 16" wide film unfolds to 32". Each roll is a 75 gauge PVC shrink film. Works best when used with a heat gun like shown below. Slim Stick Shrink Bands

Soap Sample Shrink Bands
