Fragrance oils are blends of aroma components that are created to smell like the real thing. There is no need to combine with other scents to get truly rewarding results. Many fragrance oils are blended from essential oils, but because they are not guaranteed to be 100% essential oil they are called fragrance oils. All of our fragrance oils are cosmetic grade.
Because there are specific chemical compounds that are often used in the fragrance industry that will cause cold process soap to seize, we have been extremely careful in regards to the oils we will carry. Only fragrance oils that do not contain any of these chemical compounds and are from manufacturers we have found to be reliable are included in our selection of fragrance.
These oils are also very concentrated. You probably find yourself over scenting if you follow the guidelines of other suppliers. Please note that our fragrances are tested at 0.25 to 0.35 ounces per lb of fats for cold process soap. Do not use 1 oz per lb of fats, you don't need to use this excessive rate recommended by other vendors when using MMS fragrance oils.
