Chocolate Bacon Sweet and Salty Lip Scrub

I love chocolate. Dark and bitter or sweet and milky. Today you can buy so many flavor combinations with chocolate, it is crazy. Chili peppers, almonds, macadamia nuts, cashews, caramel, toffee, coffee, cherries, blueberries, goji berries, green tea and more! It can be overwhelming to buy a chocolate bar. One of the crazier combinations that I have fallen in love with is a chocolate bar with bacon and a touch of sea salt. Talk about yummy!

I created this recipe to mimic the sweet and salty flavor of my favorite chocolate bar with bacon bits. Try this recipe and find out why chocolate and bacon really do belong together!

This was made on the blog on May 6th, 2014.

0.21 ounce Chocolate Bacon Flavor Wax (3%)
           1.27 ounce Avocado Butter (18%)
0.71 ounce Peach Kernel Oil (10%)
           0.07 ounce Vitamin E Acetate (1%)
           0.21 ounce Salt (3%)
           4.59 ounce Sugar (65%)

Weigh the Chocolate Bacon Flavor Wax, Avocado Butter, and Peach Kernel Oil into a microwave-safe container. Heat gently until liquid. In a separate container mix the sugar and salt, making sure they are distributed evenly. Add the salt/sugar mixture and Vitamin E Acetate to the melted oils. Stir well. Put into jars or pots for use. Enjoy!

The flavor of this finished lip scrub is perfect! When I was making it, I worried that I had too much salt or that I didn't t have enough. It is so good, many of the pickier staff members have snagged a jar to keep in their pockets.
