A Quick Valentine Lotion with Strawberries & Champagne

A Quick Valentine Lotion with Strawberries & Champagne

This year, Valentine’s Day has me very excited to make fun little gifts and pampering treats. One of the things I love about this holiday is the gifts that are given to our sweethearts as well as our friends.

Finished sample jars of Strawberries & Champagne Lotion.

Today I wanted to pop into the blog kitchen to make a quick gift for a ladies luncheon that I’m attending this weekend. After rummaging through the blog fragrance stash, I decided that Strawberries & Champagne would be a perfect scent for my friends and the upcoming holiday.

While I am using one of our fabulous moisturizers, I really want you to try the Strawberries & Champagne Fragrance because it is absolutely delectable!

Come join me in the kitchen and we’ll have a bunch of giggles!

Ingredients
Lotion Base
Strawberries & Champagne Fragrance Oil
Purple Raspberry Color premixed with water
Equipment
Spoons (I love the Soap Spoons for this!)
Plastic Bag or disposable pastry bags
Containers of your choice (I used the 1 oz Jar & Cap Set)

Recipe:

Recipe in Grams
3628 grams Lotion Base
16 grams Strawberries & Champagne Fragrance Oil
q.s. Purple Raspberry Color
Recipe in Ounces
128 ounces Lotion Base
0.51 ounces Strawberries & Champagne Fragrance Oil
q.s. Purple Raspberry Color
Recipe in Percentages
99.6% Lotion Base
0.4% Strawberries & Champagne Fragrance Oil
q.s. Purple Raspberry Color

Q.S. means quantity sufficient. I added a few drops of premixed color until I felt there was enough color to give the body cream a pretty pink tint. To get my premixed color, I mixed 1/2 tsp of dry Purple Raspberry with 1 fl oz of water to get my pink/red color. I used approximately 6-8 drops of the liquid color to achieve my pink lotion.

Are you ready to get started? Open the pail of Lotion Base. Add the fragrance. (This is about half of a 1 fl oz bottle.) Using a large spoon or spatula, stir in the fragrance. To help make sure it has been mixed well, I add a few drops of color to help color the base. Stir well. You will know that you are finished when there aren’t any more white spots!

Fill your desired containers. I love using disposable pastry bags that are filled with the mixed lotion and then filling my jars. It keeps the mess to a minimum and speeds up the filling process.

This is a great project to do with children or teens who want to do something unique for their Valentine’s Day gifts.
