Blueberry Lip Scrub

I’ve been dreaming of blueberries and lemons recently. Particularly a blueberry muffin with lemon glaze. Yum! While blueberries are quite expensive in Utah, I decided to make a lip scrub that would hopefully curb this craving until I get a chance to get my hands on some frozen blueberries.

I used our Blueberry Butter because it has a light blueberry color that makes this scrub attractive. This has micronized particles of blueberries, so my favorite use for this butter is in lip scrubs.

I think our Cherry Oil is a dream. Really! It is light and pampers the skin by counteracting any dryness. Perfect for a lip scrub where we are pampering the lips and helping the skin stay flexible.

Peach Kernel Oil is another great addition to this recipe. I love the dewy finish that Peach Kernel Oil can leave on the skin and the lips really look fabulous after using any products containing this oil.

Weigh all of the ingredients into the food processor bowl. Gently pulse the ingredients together until thoroughly mixed. Once the scrub is mixed together, fill the jars and cap.

Yield: This recipe will fill 15 of the 10mL Lip Balm Jars.

Notes: If you want to make a small batch, you can easily use a small personal blender like I did for these photos. I used a Cusinart Attachment, but I added the flavor after I had removed the scrub from the container. I don’t want to have my savory dishes tasting like lemon!
