Coffee Oil Lotion

Now that we have had our adventure in a Chinese hospital and all your well wishes gave me such a speedy recovery, I thought we should finish our Coffee goodie basket. I am so excited! Are you ready? What other things do you want to make with Coffee Oil? What has this fabulous and yummy oil inspired you to make?

I wanted a more viscous lotion that wouldn’t feel oily or greasy when applied. I think this formulation hit the perfect spot! It also smells so yummy! It makes me crave and miss one of my favorite things on a cold day. I love to make myself a cup of coffee and find an apple and some caramel sauce. All three sound so good right now!

I used Colorless Jojoba to give the lotion a light feeling. I didn’t want it to feel heavy, oily or greasy. If you don’t have Jojoba, you can also use Fractionated Coconut Oil, Squalane or even Cherry Oil! There are many options!

I used Hydrovance as humectant for this lotion. Hydrovance is my personal favorite humectant. It makes the skin feel smooth and dewy. I love that fresh feeling. It almost feels like I went to the spa or spent at least a half hour in the shower with a collection of body scrubs and polishes.

Blend the ingredients to a smooth, creamy consistency using the immersion blender. Add the Liquid Germall Plus once the temperature drops to approximately 120° F in the mixing bucket. Stir gently until completely mixed. Pour into containers and allow to cool completely before labeling.
