Red Grape & Blueberry Soap

As you might imagine, it has been pretty busy around here lately. We have been trying to clean up the blog kitchen in our spare time. We make many different products with all the ingredients in the catalog, which means we have a ton of partial bottles of fragrance. We are trying to use up our partial bottles to free up some extra space. As I was sorting through the fragrances I came across Red Grape & Blueberry and I really like it. I decided to make a Melt and Pour Soap out of it. I used our White Melt and Pour Soap base for this soap. Making this soap was super fun, and quick and easy!

This fun fruity fragrance with a hit of blueberries with tobacco, caramel and balsam. The grape skin notes prevent this lightly fruit scent from being overly sweet. It is now one of my favorites. Remember, a little goes a long way!

This soap was so easy to make, and it didn’t take long at all. Weigh the soap and place into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave it until it is nearly melted, but be careful not to get it too hot because it will burn. Stir well to make sure all parts are melted then weigh the fragrance oil. Add the scent and stir well. Next is the fun part, add the color! I only used a few drops of each and was surprised by how quickly it turned light purple. Make the soap a tiny bit darker in the bowl than you want in the finished soap. Once the soap is solid it will appear lighter in color. Pour into your soap mold and let it set up for 24 hours. Unmold. Cut. Wrap. Label. Have fun!
