Tea Tree Mask

I love face masks. They give me time to slow down and do something for myself. In the heat of summer, it is especially nice to slow down, take a cool bath, apply a cool mask and put slices of cucumbers over the eyes. If you need to, please lock the door, unplug the phone, disable the doorbell, dim the lights and turn on some soft music. Sigh. Doesn’t that sound divine? Come join me in the kitchen so that we may enjoy some time all by ourselves. :-DI really liked this mask because it gave my skin a soft and dewy feeling. After letting this scrub dry on my skin then rinsing it off, my skin felt dewy baby soft and dare I say… firmer? Hmn. I think I need to go back home to use the fabulous mask. Lol. 😀 If only!

Weigh everything except French Green Clay, Optiphen and Tea Tree Essential Oil into a microwave safe container. Heat gently until liquid. Using an immersion blender, mix well. Add clay and stir until no lumps remain. It takes about five minutes for the clay to hydrate using an immersion blender. If you choose not to use an immersion blender due to cleaning purposes, uses a spoon or fork to stir in clay. It is okay if you have lumps. Clay swells as it absorbs water and it can take up to eight hours for the clay to fully hydrate. Just stir after the clay has had an opportunity to absorb the moisture. Add Optiphen and Tea Tree Essential Oil and stir well. Package into containers and enjoy!
