This was made on the blog on June 10th, 2011.

        2.5 grams citric acid
        30 grams Liquid glycerin
        40 grams stearic acid
        50 grams emulsifying wax
        200 grams sweet almond oil
        660 grams water
        10 grams Germaben II
7.5 grams Ginger Milk fragrance oil (or any other scent of your choice)

Microwave safe container for weighing ingredients
      Transfer Pipettes
      Immersion Blender
      Containers for the finished products

Combine citric acid, liquid glycerin, stearic acid, emulsifying wax sweet almond oil and water. Weigh Germaben II and fragrance but don't combine with other ingredients just yet!

Heat oil and water mixture in microwave until all water is hot and stirring shows all wax is melted. If more time is needed heat for a few more seconds.

Mix well. Double check for wax particles on spoon or immersion blender. Allow to cool just a bit and then stir in fragrance and Germaben II. Stir well to ensure complete dispersement. Pour into bottles.

Lotion is thick and holds its shape well.

Citric Acid is an optional ingredient. If you are using tap water, then we recommend using the Citric Acid to help make a product that has a close to neutral pH. If you use distilled water or know that the water you are using does not have a high alkaline pH, then omit the Citric Acid.

    Makes approximately 32 fl oz.
