I adore fresh oranges. I remember being a little girl and taking my orange to my mother to peel. She would get it started and I would disappear to work off the skin. Like any child, I had not yet mastered clean orange eating and would come back with the peel and juice dribbling down my chin onto the front of my shirt. I would simply toss the remains of my orange into the compost bucket and silently hand my mother another orange for her to start the peeling process for me. To this day my mother will tease me and say “That was back when you were cute.” I tease her right back and with a long suffering sigh I answer back “But I am not cute anymore?” She always laughs and says “No, you are beautiful.” Isn’t it funny how it is the little things we remember most fondly?
If you enjoy oranges or remember them fondly, come join me for today’s lip gloss. It is tasty, creamy and a dream to apply. You won’t want to miss out!

Begin by weighing all of the ingredients except for the Sugar Baby Flavor Oil into a microwave safe container. After measuring the ingredients, microwave using short time bursts until the wax is melted. Add the Sugar Baby Flavor Oil. If you want to add any additional color or sparkle, you can add an Oil Soluble Color and/or Silver Mica at this time. I decided to not add color or mica to my lip gloss but that doesn’t mean that you can’t!
Once you are satisfied with the color, fill the lip brushes while the mixture is still warm. Leave them standing upright until they have cooled. After the mixture has cooled, then you can put the tips and caps on. If the mixture gets into the small metal tube before it is completely cooled, the metal can cause the mixture to solidify over the opening and material will be difficult to advance into the brush. Label and enjoy!
