Pie Day Planning!

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Where did the time go? There is so much to do and so much to plan for! If you are thinking of making lip balms, sugar scrubs, room sprays or even soap with family during the Thanksgiving break, take a quick inventory of what is in your creating cupboard and make sure you have everything you need. If you do need anything, I highly recommend getting your order placed today or tomorrow so we can get them out the door and on its way to you! We are at the time of year where a higher quantity of packages are being shipped and snowy weather can both influence how fast an order can get to you. Let us help you get what you need as soon as possible!

Technical Support and Order Information

Pie Day is the day before Thanksgiving, and it is the day where you traditionally bake pies and anything else you can make ahead so your oven can focus on the turkey. We consider family to be so important, we make Wednesday a 1/2 day of work so we can get all of your orders packaged and shipped. All order and technical support questions submitted by 8:00 AM Mountain Time will be shipped and answered before we leave. We will be closing at noon Wednesday the 22nd. We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday the 24th so we can spend time with our families. We will return Monday the 27th to ship all orders and to answer any questions you may have!

As I sit here, I am making a mental list of things I will need. Do I have enough cranberries? Do I need to make a test batch of soap? Will there be enough turkey? What roll recipe will I be using? And do I have everything I need for the pies? I love making pies and planning for Pie Day requires some planning because Pie Day is a big event around here. I find myself looking forward to Pie Day as much as I do to Thanksgiving itself! (Did you notice I slipped my soap into the plan?)

What pies are you planning to be at your Thanksgiving feast? Pecan, pumpkin, and blueberry pie are required at my table, and I am thinking of adding an apple pie. I am particularly fond of slicing into the blueberry pie because I can hear the entire room pause while the first slice is cut. Then the clamoring and passing of plates begins while people make requests for pie types, size of slices and if they want whipped cream on top. I’ll even share my recipe with you! It is actually the exact same recipe as the Blackberry Pie we shared with you some time ago, except I use blueberries in place of blackberries. Though I would imagine any type of berry will do. And if you are fortunate, you may be able to make a huckleberry pie with berries you have on hand! (I never seem to be able to keep huckleberries on hand that long though!) If you are going to be making pies or anything else fun, be sure to tag us on Facebook and Instagram with #TheSage! We want to see what you are creating! After pie, we are making sugar scrubs with the family. I need to order coconut oil right now!

See you soon,

Taylor
