US President George Washington

Since we are celebrating Independence Day and Pioneer Day (Utah’s Statehood)I thought that for the next few blogs I would showcase some fun facts about a few of our US Presidents. We celebrate all month long!

I am going to start off with George Washington. He was the first US president, he was the only president who was unanimously elected and he was the only president who did not live in Washington D.C. George Washington never shook hands with people and he never wore a powdered wig (the custom for men at the time). He did powder his own hair.

I’m not sure about the powdering of hair or wigs, but I have decided to give you an alternative to powder as hair care. Shampoo and Conditioner! We use shampoo and conditioner in current times and I am really happy about that. I have been using the Daily Shampoo Base and the Deep Hair Conditioner Base and I have completely enjoyed these products. I have shown you in the photos how rich and creamy the shampoo is; it is great for everyday use. The conditioner is super thick and creamy; it feels really good in my hair and helps with detangling and really helps with my dry hair.

The shampoo and conditioner bases come in one gallon size containers and I attach a pump so I can easily transfer the product into smaller, more manageable sizes. I am using the 4 oz boston round bottles with disk top – these will be perfect for taking on my mini vacation. Remember, 100 mL or less can be packed in your carry on, otherwise the item must be checked! If you want, you can add in a fragrance or essential oil, but I am leaving mine unscented today.
