Sugar Scrub with Seeds

Introduction

This recipe appeared in our ad in the July 2004 issue of Herb Companion.

Ingredients

    1-1/2 cups white granulated sugar
7/8 cup Carrier Oil of your choice (Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Grapeseed Oil, etc.)
up to 1-1/2 ml Fragrance Oil
1/2 tsp Fruit Seeds of your choice (Cranberry Seeds, Raspberry Seeds, Strawberry Seeds, etc.)

Instructions

Mix all items thoroughly. Package in a 16 oz Clear PET Deep Jar, top with a Size 89 Sealing Disk and Cap. Label.

Notes & Comments

Use in the shower to exfoliate the skin. Use a dropper to measure the fragrance.

When we choose oils we often look for color. Golden Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Olive Oil have the strongest colors. Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, and Apricot Kernel Oil have a mid range of colors. Sunflower Oil is one of the lightest oils we carry.

Yield

16 oz jar
