Black Lip Balm Color, Oil Soluble

Black is the great muting and deepening color. We have used it with the other colors with great success! I am a real fan of black even though I haven't made a strictly black lip balm.

Blue darkens, deepens and makes colors cooler. I was worried about using blue in my lip balms to make mauves and plums (my favorite lip colors) but oh the color was great! There would be no way to do these fabulous colors without the blue.

Our newest oil soluble lip color is delectable! Cool Red is a charming red with a blue undertone that will help make that classic cool red lip stick color. I can't wait to mix Cool Red with a little White and Black for a classic red that wouldn't be out of place on the red carpet!

Yellow Lip Balm Color, Oil Soluble

I used the yellow to make a Vanilla flavored lip balm brighter in color. I know beeswax, candelilla and carnauba waxes all add a yellow color but it is pale when the lip balm is smooth and not too waxey. So, yellow color to the rescue! We made Mint Julep with a little yellow and a little blue. We mixed cool red and yellow to make a pale peach. What a good blender!
