2018 HSCG Conference, Here We Come!

2018 HSCG Conference, Here We Come!

I am so thrilled to tell you all that The Sage is going to be at the 2018 Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild Annual Conference. Andee and I will be flying out to Atlanta, Georgia the first week of May. The conference is May 3rd to May 5th with registration and seminars on May 2nd. Andee first attended the conference back in 2010. This will be my very first time attending the conference and I am so excited! Whether you are new to the soaping world or you are an experienced soap maker, the HSCG Conference is perfect for any person with a love of making their own soaps and cosmetics.I am so excited to meet all of you adventurous makers out there and finally put some faces to names.

This year Andee will be teaching her own class, Making Magic Happen with Scent Blending. It will be on May 2nd from 10 AM to 3 PM. For this class, you will receive a kit of fragrances and everything you may need to start making your own magical blends. I will be there to help her and make sure everything is running smoothly. It is not too late to register for her class, so get over to the HSCG website and register now!

I have been here in Utah all of my life, the farthest east or south I have been is parts of Colorado. So going to Georgia is going to be quite the adventure for me! I have flown before, but I was very young and I slept the whole time so I don’t really remember it. I’ll admit that I am really nervous about the flight. From Utah to Georgia is about 4 hours, which is not too bad. I will be traveling with my husband, who has never flown before, and Andee who is an experienced flyer. Do you guys have any tips for those of us who are new to flying? Let me know in the comments below. I would appreciate it very much. Also, I would like to know, are you going to the HSCG conference? If so, let me know because I would love to meet you and say hello!
