Aloe Vera Butter Lotion

Aloe is a standard in skin care; I’ve never met an aloe-based product I didn’t like.

Today I’ll make a lotion using our fantastic Aloe Vera Butter and some Macadamia Nut Oil to round out the formula.

Aloe Butter is a softer oil that is just dreamy to use! Aloe has been infused into coconut oil, and this makes a great lotion base oil. Macadamia Nut Oil is a wonderful dry oil with skin softening properties thanks to a generous amount of oleic acid.

Gather up some supplies and equipment, and make this fantastic lotion along with me!

Instructions

Weigh everything but the preservative and fragrance into the microwave-safe container. Heat in short time bursts until everything is melted.

Blend thoroughly with the immersion blender until the emulsion forms. Check the temperature; cool to less than 120ºF, then add Liquid Germall Plus and Green Clover & Aloe Fragrance. Stir well.

Use a funnel to pour into bottles and allow the lotion to cool completely before capping. This lotion would work great with either a pump closure or disk closure.

Notes

I’m very pleased with the texture of this lotion. It’s light, velvety, and smells great! Hope you get a chance to give it a try!
