Creamy Coconut Lip Balm

Have you tried our virgin coconut? I am in love with it. It is a sweet soft coconut flavor and scent that is absolutely dreamy. I love what it contributes to massage oils, serums and particularly… lip balm! Come join me as we make lip balm using this exquisite oil!

Besides using the Virgin Coconut Oil in this recipe, I also used our Cherry Oil. Cherry Oil is very light in feel and I have found I rather enjoy the tactile properties it lends to the skin. If you are looking for an oil light in color and texture, this is it!

I also used Palm Kernel Oil in this recipe. I needed a hard and brittle oil and Palm Kernel fit the bill. Palm Kernel is an excellent oil for a lip balm to insure that you keep the cost down. Especially when working with more expensive oils such as Virgin Coconut Oil.

Note: If you are not a fan of coconut flavor, I still recommend you try this recipe. The texture is smooth, creamy and perfect for summer lips. Substitute the Virgin Coconut Oil for regular Coconut Oil. From there, you can add any flavor of choice.

Weigh all ingredients into your microwave safe container. Microwave in short bursts until all ingredients are melted. The beeswax will take the most time to melt, but if you stir the lip balm after the other oils have been heated, it will melt quickly. Once the mixture is melted, fill tubes or jars. Cool. Label.
