Elegant and Simple Roll-on Perfume

Elegant and Simple Roll-on Perfume

Finished Paradise Perfume

Finished Perfume

I love being able to make the soaps I want for my guest bathroom or the perfect night cream, but my favorite thing to spoil myself with is a handcrafted perfume. There are so MANY ways to make a perfume and you want to choose the right base for the container you will be using. If you are using an spray container such as an atomizer, you have a lot of options available. You can have an alcohol base, a water base or an oil base. If you are using a roller bottle or apothecary bottle, I find that an oil base is best. An oil based perfume will not ready evaporate from the bottle and is more easily applied. Today I wanted to make a simple perfume that I could easily place in my purse. Come join me!

Before I get too far ahead of myself with today’s perfume, I wanted to tell you a little bit about the blend we are making today. This blend is one of Andee’s spectacular masterpieces. It is sweet and slightly floral with a hint of exotic spice and fresh citrus. It is elegant and slightly sophisticated while being innocent and playful. Andee’s blend has an intriguing and captivating aroma and I think it is definitely worth trying. If you fall in love with this blend the way I have, I recommend getting an elegant glass bottle to put it in. I personally would find a frosted bottle with black accents but there are tons of bottles to choose from! Select one that speaks to you.

Weighing Fractionated Coconut Oil

Weighing Fractionated Coconut Oil

To start, I find it best to mix the fragrance and essential oils. Since I am measuring such small amounts, having a good scale is very important. You can save money in lots of ways but investing in a good scale is critical. Spend your money on a good scale once rather than needing to continually upgrade your scale. You will get better results and save more money in the long run.

One you have created the fragrance blend, then add your carrier oil. I like to use Fractionated Coconut Oil but you can use things like Jojoba Oil, Mineral Oil, Cyclomethicone or even things like Sweet Almond Oil! Stir the carrier oil into the perfume blend well. Bottle, label and enjoy!
