I Lost My Mind Body Cream (Or the Importance of Filing Notes Properly)

I had formulated this body cream and had created a small pile of notes about why I had made this simple body cream and even for whom I had created this formula. I had transferred the formula to my computer so I could create a testing schedule, but I didn’t transfer any of my notes. So … when I got around to testing this formula, I couldn’t remember why I had formulated it or where my notes were!

Since I had already started making this body cream, I decided to take pictures and share the recipe with you. I figured that I can’t be the only one who has lost notes about a product and because of that I should share my mistake with you so you will remember to put your notes in a safe place and keep detailed notes for your own sanity. (Anyone think I’ll find my notes now that I’ve released this post?)

Let’s go make this body cream!

Weigh all ingredients except the additives (Liquid Germall Plus and Juicy Grape Fragrance) into a microwave safe container. Heat in the microwave using short time bursts until everything is melted. Blend the ingredients to a smooth, creamy consistency using the immersion blender. Add the additives once the temperature drops to approximately 120° F in the mixing bucket. Stir gently until completely mixed. Pour into containers and allow to cool completely before labeling.

Body Cream Notes: This is a indulgent mid-weight body cream that rubs in easily and leaves the skin feeling soft. I would recommend using this body cream as an end-of-day/before-bed relaxation treat.
