Orange Butter Lip Balm

We have recently talked about making a roll on perfume using Golden Jojoba Oil. There is a huge list of oils out there that you can choose from. You don’t have to choose just one. I wanted to share another roll-on perfume using a different carrier oil.
The carrier oil I wanted to use today is Sunflower Oil. Sunflower Oil is a lightweight oil that has a fabulous glide on the skin. I often include it in my formulations when making massage oils. Sunflower Oil can take a product from “Oh, that is nice.” to “WOW! I love that!”
Sunflower Oil is also an excellent choice for perfumes because it has a longer shelf life. This is perfect, especially for me. I tend to have little things like perfume, lip balm, lip stick and pens disappear into the bottom of my purse. The bonus is that every time I go down to the deep depths of my bag it is like Christmas! Or a treasure hunt. I haven’t decided which.
Now that we have chosen a carrier oil let’s get to the fun part! Choosing a fragrance. I considered some real goodies, some of the things on my list were White Ginger & Amber, Tropical Kiss and Just for You. While all of these sounded wonderful, I found myself hankering for something more like sweet summer.
I ended up choosing Red Grape and Blueberry Fragrance. This fragrance is fabulous. This scent reminds me the morning farmer’s market. Sweet dewy grass, freshly baked treats and succulent berries waiting to burst. On a summer Saturday morning, I love to wander the market until the sun is high overhead and my bag grows heavy. I think it is the perfect way to spend a morning.
