Blast from the Past: Bath Salts and Fizzies

Swirls with straight tubes.

Swirls with straight tubes.

Christmas is right around the corner and if you are like me, you are looking for some fast and simple projects to help stock your gift closet for those friends and relatives that give you a surprise visit. We have some fantastic recipes that are 30 minutes or less from start to cleanup that look like you have slaved all day long! Let’s go check out some of our old projects that can be used to quickly stock your gift closet this holiday season!

Peppermint Candy Sticks Foot Soaks: This is my favorite holiday season gift! These Peppermint Candy Sticks Foot Sticks are simple to make and are oohhed and aahhed over because they are so pretty. You will love all of the compliments you get for these can be made from start to finish in just half an hour! Don’t feel like you have to make them peppermint scented. The options are unlimited. Try using Mulberry, Apple Jack, Warm Vanilla Sugar or Gingerbread & Spice to celebrate the holidays! You can also use different colors to create awesome colored swirls! If you don’t feel like making the swirls, try our Pink Layered Bath Salts recipe instead It is just as fun and looks fantastic! If you want to jazz it up a little, add some Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate to make your bath salts become foaming bath salts!

Bath Fizzies: There are lots of options in the bath fizzies department as I include bath fizzies, bath bombs, and shower tablets under this category. My favorite are the Magic Color Bath Fizzzes and the Bath Fizzy Hearts. You can even use these same recipes and ingredients to make a shower tablet!

I hope these inspire you and help you come up with some awesome (and easy) holiday presents!
