Lovely Strawberry Lemonade Lip Scrub

Applying a pea sized amount of lip scrub to the lips.

Applying a pea sized amount of lip scrub to the lips.

Lately, I have been dreaming about warm sunny days. They have started to show up and I can already see plants starting to come back to life. I happen to be the most impatient person in the world, I am so tired of waiting for warm weather! Lemonade seems like a summertime drink to me and while I do drink it year round, there is something just so refreshing about a cold glass of strawberry lemonade on a warm day.

For this recipe, I chose Lemon Argentina Essential Oil because it is a very intense lemony aroma and flavor. I thought since we are doing a sugar scrub, using a tart lemon flavor would make for the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

In order to make this lip scrub, you are going to need to melt the Beeswax Beads. So my first step was weighing everything except for the Apricot Kernel Oil and the Beeswax Beads into the food processor. In a separate beaker, I weighed out the Apricot Kernel Oil and Beeswax and then microwaved it for about a minute until the Beeswax was mostly melted. Then I added that to the food processor and pulsed until everything was mixed together.

I am so happy with how this scrub turned out, it smelled amazing and the texture was just what I was hoping for. I made a bunch, packaged it in our Baby Lip Balm Jars, then sent it down to shipping. If you would like to try out this scrub then request a sample on your next order!
