My spring fever is running rampant. I spent the weekend cleaning, sweeping, steaming and buffing as many possible surfaces to get the house ready. I don’t know what is it, but spring brings the clean freak out in me. Sharon also has some spring fever. She wanted to share her first batch of cold process soap. Please help me welcome Sharon to the fun!
Today was a balmy -1C in Toronto, and it felt like spring was on its way!
Spring is when everything comes back to life and the world has a sense of awakening. It is hands down my most favorite time of year!
I call this soap: Ode to Monet. Monet is my favorite painter and the colors and techniques he used screams nature. I am not comparing my work to his by a long shot, but I draw inspiration from his work.
I used a blend of all things citrus: Lemongrass, Litsea Cubeba (from MMS of course), Orange and Tangerine. I used a blend of Coconut oil, Olive Oil, Sustainable Palm Oil and Castor Oil. The colorants are natural oxides and micas.
PS: Would you believe this was my very first CP soap?
Don’t forget! We will accept submissions for our challenge until today at midnight! Here is a chance to strut your stuff and get a goodie box from the MMS Blog Kitchen. Good luck!
