Strawberries and Champagne Silky Smooth Lip Balm

Summer is here and while I am getting plenty of quality outdoor time, my lips have definitely gotten dry. It must be all of the garden time. I wanted to make a lip balm that was able to handle the summer heat but was gentle enough that it wouldn’t hurt to apply onto my lips.

This is a fabulous recipe and it is so incredibly simple you can do it with kids! I think it is great when you can include everyone from small children to teenagers to parents even grandparents. And everyone will enjoy the finished product!

For this particular project, I wanted to mix our Strawberry Swirl and Champagne flavor oils for the classic combination of strawberries and champagne. This flavor combo is absolutely scrumptious but keep in mind that there are lots of flavor oils out there. Try classic Peppermint, funky Banana or wild Chocolate Bacon. Either way, you can’t go wrong!

Heat the Vegan Lip Solutions gently until liquid. Add Orchid Extract, Calendula Extract, Strawberry Flavor Oil, Champagne Flavor Oil and enough of the Ruby Oil Soluble Lip Color to cover the end of a toothpick. Stir well. Use the plate test to check color and flavor. It is always easier to add a little more flavor or color than to try to remove. Pour into a Lip Balm Tube Filling Tray with Lip Balm Tubes. Allow to cool. Scrape of the top with a plastic putty knife and remove the tubes. Cap and enjoy!
